Isobelle Carmody

Isobelle Carmody is an award winning Australian author who has written for adults, young adults and children. She began her highly acclaimed Obernewtyn Chronicles whilst at high school and worked on it while completing a Bachelor of Arts and a journalism cadetship.  Obernewtyn was accepted by the first publisher she sent it to and was shortlisted for the CBCA Book of the Year Award. After living in Prague for over ten years Isobelle divides her time between her home in Victoria and Brisbane where she lives with a shadow black cat called Mitya while she is working on a PhD at the University of Queensland.
