Lorraine Marwood

Lorraine Marwood has been writing ever since she knew at 8 years old that is all she wanted to do. Becoming a poet was a surprise but is her natural voice.  Along the years Lorraine has been a teacher, Dairy farmer and raised 6 children, of course all grown up and now has 11 grandchildren. She has judged competitions, written loads of poems for both literary and children’s magazines, written two Aussie Nibbles, three verse novels and six collections of poetry.  She loves gardening, crafting, cooking and walking her little dog Monti.  She lives in Central Victoria. Her verse novel, Star Jumps has won the inaugural Prime Minister’s Literary award for Children’s Literature.
